Lessons for lab members
Two lessons are written for people who work in our laboratory, because they describe our own rules, instruments and procedures. They live in the members area of the booking site, behind your usual login.
Lab safety and how to use our instruments
Hazards in an electrochemistry lab, our house rules, gases and waste, and how to start, run and shut down each potentiostat and accessory. Ends with a quiz.
Storing and caring for electrodes
How we store and check reference electrodes, polish glassy carbon, clean Pt and handle screen-printed electrodes, with a quiz.
Booking a potentiostat
The lab manager may require the safety quiz to be passed before you can book a potentiostat. If the booking form asks for it, finish Lesson 4 in the members area first. Your quiz result is saved with your account.
Not a member yet
Students and visitors who will use our lab get an account from the lab manager. The open lessons on this site, 1, 2 and 3, are a good way to prepare.
